Description : “In this workshop, you will learn how to create a striking, lifelike giraffe bursting with colour and personality using Derwent Inktense pencils and Posca markers on fabric. Through step-by-step guidance, you’ll explore how to blend bold colours seamlessly, add dimension to your giraffe’s features, and highlight textures that bring your artwork to life. By the end of the session, you’ll be able to use colour layering and water activation techniques to achieve stunning, high-contrast results that make your giraffe stand out. Suitable for all abilities. A small supply list is provided. There is also a material cost of £15, payable in cash to the tutor on the day of the class. As a full-day class, your ticket includes entry into the show on the day of the class.”

You’ll refine your work using Posca markers, improving your fine motor control while expanding your artistic skills. Throughout the session, you’ll create a vibrant rooster collage, starting with an outline and progressing to fabric selection, collage creation, and Posca marker application. By the end of the class, you’ll have a solid understanding of fabric collage and be able to combine intricate mediums with ease. This immersive workshop is suitable for all abilities, and you’ll leave with new skills to elevate your artistic practice.
